VERWENDUNGSZWECK

Dieser Werkzeugsatz dient zum Erneuern des vorderen und getriebeseitigen Kurbelwellen-

Radialdichtrings an BMW Motoren N20, N26, N40, N42, N45, N45T, N46, N46T, N52, N53, N54, N55.

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

•Halten Sie Kinder und andere unbefugte Personen vom Arbeitsbereich fern.

•Lassen Sie Kinder nicht mit dem Werkzeug oder dessen Verpackung spielen

•Verwenden Sie das Werkzeug nicht, wenn Teile fehlen oder beschädigt sind.

•Verwenden Sie das Werkzeug nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck.

•Legen Sie beinhaltende Werkzeuge niemals auf die Fahrzeugbatterie. Gefahr von

Kurzschluss.

•Vorsicht bei Arbeiten am laufenden Motor. Lose Kleidung, Werkzeuge und andere

Gegenstände können von drehenden Teilen erfasst werden und schwere Verletzungen

verursachen.

•Vorsicht bei Arbeiten an heißen Motoren, es besteht Verbrennungsgefahr!

•Entfernen Sie vor der Reparatur den Zündschlüssel, so verhindern Sie ein versehentliches

Starten des Motors und einen dadurch entstehenden Motorschaden und Verletzungen.

•Diese Anleitung dient als Kurzinformation und ersetzt keinesfalls ein Werkstatthandbuch.

Entnehmen Sie bitte technische Angaben wie Drehmomentwerte und Hinweise zur

Demontage und Montage immer der fahrzeugspezifischen Serviceliteratur.

•Drehen Sie den Motor nur in normale Motordrehrichtung (im Uhrzeigersinn), soweit nicht

anders angegeben.

DEMONTAGE

Setzen Sie das Werkzeug (1) oder (2) an den Radialdichtring (A) an.

Befestigen Sie das Werkzeug mit den Schrauben (12) oder (13) zentriert am Radialdichtring (A).

Durch Drehen der Zugspindel im Uhrzeigersinn, wird der Radialdichtring (A) aus dem Sitz (B)

gezogen.

Setzen Sie das Werkzeug (6) an den Radialdichtring (A) an.

Befestigen Sie das Werkzeug, indem Sie es im Uhrzeigersinn in den Radialdichtring (A) drehen.

Durch Drehen der Zugspindel im Uhrzeigersinn, wird der Radialdichtring (A) aus dem Sitz (B)

gezogen.

MONTAGE

Befestigen Sie die Montagespindel (3), (4) oder (5), mit aufgesetztem Radialdichtring (A), am

Kurbelwellenflansch, benutzen Sie dazu die Schrauben (14).

Schieben Sie den Montagetopf (8) oder (9), passend zum Werkzeug (3), (4) oder (5) und passend

zum Radialdichtring (A), über die montierte Montagespindel und befestigen Sie den Montagetopf

mit der Spindelmutter (11). Je nach verwendeter Werkzeugkombination ist zusätzlich der

Montagering (10) erforderlich.

Durch Drehen der Spindelmutter im Uhrzeigersinn, wird der Radialdichtring (A) in den Sitz

gedrückt.

Recyceln Sie unerwünschte Stoffe, anstatt sie als Abfall zu entsorgen. Alle Werkzeuge,

Zubehörteile und Verpackungen sind zu sortieren, einer Wertstoffsammelstelle zuzuführen

und umweltgerecht zu entsorgen. Erkundigen Sie sich bei Ihrer örtlichen Abfallbehörde

über Recyclingmaßnahmen. Entsorgen Sie dieses Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer

umweltgerecht.

Crankshaft Seal Tool Set for BMW

INTENDED USE

This tool set serves the renewal of the front and gear-side crankshaft radial seal ring on BMW engines

N20, N26, N40, N42, N45, N45T, N46, N46T, N52, N53, N54, N55.

•Caution when working on the running engines. Loose clothing, tools and other objects may be

caught by rotating parts and cause severe injuries.

•Be careful when working on hot engines because of the risk of burn injuries!

•If you remove the ignition key before repairing, you can prevent the engine from being started

accidentally and resulting in engine damage and injuries.

•These instructions serve as brief information and never replace the workshop manual. Please

always obtain technical specifications such as torque values and instructions on disassembly

and assembly from the vehicle-specific service literature.

•Turn the engine only in the normal direction of rotation (clockwise) unless specified otherwise.

REMOVAL

Place the tool (1) or (2) on the radial seal ring (A).

Attach the tool with screws (12) or (13) centred on the radial seal ring (A).

By turning the pull spindle clockwise, the radial seal ring (A) is pulled out of the seat (B).

Attach the tool or (6) on the radial seal ring (A).

Secure the tool by turning it clockwise in the radial seal ring (A).

By turning the pull spindle clockwise, the radial seal ring (A) is pulled out of the seat (B).

INSTALLATION

Attach the assembly spindle (3), (4) or (5) on the crankshaft flange with radial seal ring (A) fitted.

Use screws (14) for this purpose.

Push the assembly pot (8) or (9) matching tool (3), (4) or (5) and matching radial seal ring (A) over

the assembly spindle and attach the assembly pot with spindle nut (11). Assembly ring (10) may

also be necessary depending on the tool combination used.

By turning the spindle nut clockwise, the radial seal ring (A) is pressed into the seat.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

Recycle undesired materials instead of disposing of them as waste. All tools, accessories

and packaging should be sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in an

environmentally friendly manner. Check with your local waste disposal authority about

recycling measures. Dispose of this product in an environmentally friendly manner at the

end of its life

de brûlures !

•Retirez la clé de contact avant de commencer la réparation afin d'empêcher le démarrage non

intentionné du moteur avec le risque de dommages du moteur et de blessures en résultant.

•Ces instructions sont fournies à titre d’information brève, elles ne remplacent en aucun cas un

manuel d’atelier. Veuillez toujours observer les données techniques, comme les valeurs de

couple, instructions de démontage et montage, etc., contenues dans les documents d’atelier

de votre véhicule spécifique.

•Faites tourner le moteur uniquement dans le sens de rotation normal (sauf indication contraire,

le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.

DÉMONTAGE

Placez l’outil (1) ou (2) sur la bague d’étanchéité radiale (A).

Fixez l’outil au moyen des vis (12) ou (13) centrées sur la bague d’étanchéité radiale (A).

La bague d’étanchéité radiale (A) est retirée de son support (B) quand la vis de traction est tournée

dans le sens des aiguilles de la montre.

Placez l’outil ou (6) sur la bague d’étanchéité radiale (A).

Fixez l’outil en le tournant dans le sens des aiguilles de la montre dans la bague radiale (A).

La bague d’étanchéité radiale (A) est retirée de son support (B) quand la vis de traction est tournée

dans le sens des aiguilles de la montre.

MONTAGE

Fixez la broche de montage (3), (4) ou (5) avec la bague d’étanchéité radiale (A) superposée sur le

collier du vilebrequin en utilisant les vis (14).

Glissez le pot de montage (8) ou (9) assorti à l’outil (3), (4) ou (5) et assorti à la bague d’étanchéité

radiale (A) sur la broche de montage montée et fixez le pot de montage au moyen de l’écrou de vis

de traction (11). Selon les outils utilisés, une bague de montage (10) est également nécessaire.

La bague d’étanchéité radiale (A) est repoussée dans son support quand la vis de traction est

tournée dans le sens inverse des aiguilles de la montre.

PROTECTION DE L’ENVIRONNEMENT

Recyclez les matières indésirables au lieu de les jeter comme déchets. Tous les outils,

accessoires et emballages doivent être triés, envoyés à un point de collecte de recyclage

et éliminés dans le respect de l’environnement. Consultez votre autorité locale de gestion

des déchets à propos des mesures de recyclage à appliquer. Éliminez ce produit de façon

écologique à la fin de sa vie utile.
