1. General precautions for safe use

• Failure to observe the information in the User Manual may

lead to personal injury or damage to the equipment.

These instructions must be kept and forwarded to all possible

future users of the system.

• The sliding door must only be used for the purpose for which

it was designed. Any other use should be considered improper

and therefore dangerous. The manufacturer cannot be held

responsible for any damage caused by improper, incorrect or

unreasonable use.

• Do not use the automation if it needs repairing or adjusting.

Disconnect the power supply when carrying out cleaning or

maintenance tasks.

• This product may be used by children over the age of 8 and by

people with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities, or

lack of experience or knowledge, as long as they are properly

supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the de-

vice and the relative hazards.

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by

children without supervision.

• Do not allow children to play or stay near the sliding door.

Keep remote controls and/or any other control devices out of

the reach of children, to prevent the sliding door being acci-

dentally activated.

2. Operation mode selectors

The door functions are set with different operation mode selectors.

The operation mode selector is available with 5 positions (plus RESET).

SYMBOL FUNCTION

OPEN

The door is permanently open. The door can be moved by hand

e.g. for window cleaning. All activation units are disconnected.

AUTO PARTIAL

Two-way traffic, AUTOPARTIAL is obtained. The door can be

opened partially with the inner and outer activation units and

with a key switch (if fitted).

AUTO

Two-way traffic, normal operation of the door. The door can

be opened with the inner and outer activation units and with

a key switch (if fitted).

EXIT

Passage from inside only. The door is normally locked if an

electromechanical locking device has been fitted. The door

can only be opened with the inner activation unit or with a key

switch (if fitted).

The door is closed and locked (if an electromechanical lock is

fitted).

The door cannot be opened with inner and outer activation units.

The door can be opened partially with a key switch (if fitted).

(*) When the mode selector is in mode the button

button can give a key impulse. The key impulse will open the

door to partial open position. There are two different ways how

the button works:

1. It is not possible to give a key impulse.

2. It is always possible to give a key impulse by pressing the

button for 2 seconds.

3. The mode selector must first be unlocked then it is pos-

sible button for 2 seconds.

A.Insert a narrow object in the small hole and push briefly.

B.By briefly pushing the dot (placed in the lower right corner)

with a narrow object; the door will return to the closed po-

sition (if not in operation mode selection “DOOR OPEN” or

if an error is present) and is then ready for normal opera-

tion.

NOTE! If monitored emergency unit is a demand, a test of the emergency unit is per-

formed when the operation mode selector is set from OFF or OPEN to any other op-

eration mode.

There are 3 options to lock / unlock the operation mode selector. These are programmed in the

control panel and can be modified by the installer.

The different operation modes are selected by pushing the arrow symbols pointing

upwards or downwards. When a button is pushed a buzzer will sound. The present

selection is indicated by a blue light to the left of the function symbol or text.

When an arrow symbol has not been pushed for 5 seconds the access will be locked

FLASHING LIGHT

Red

• When a red light is flashing it is indicating an error in

the door operator. If the error remains after a RESET

then service is needed

Orange

• An orange light every other second indicates a status

or condition that can be cleared by the owner e.g. a

breakout door is broken out

Yellow • A yellow light every other second indicates that

maintenance is needed.

4. Instructions for releasing and manually acti-

vating the door

Release all the mechanical locks before activating the automatic system.

In the event of maintenance, malfunctioning or emergency, disconnect the power sup-

ply then lower the lock release lever (if installed) and manually move the door wings to

their open position. To block the door wings again, bring the lock release lever back to

its initial position.

WARNING: only lock and release the door wings when the motor is switched off

5. Regular safety checks and safety accessories

To meet the national/international requisites and avoid any malfunctioning or risk of

injury, carry out the following operations and checks at least once every 6 months (or

according to the frequency of use of the automation).

You are advised to have repairs and adjustments carried out by qualified personnel.

Disconnect the power supply [A] when carrying out cleaning or maintenance tasks.

TASK

Activate your operator and visually check, fastening and any damage of:

• operator and cover (1)

• cables

• operator mode selector (2)

• door and glass (stability)

Also inspect your operator and check visually for:

• condition of door seals and weather stripping

• condition of glazing rubbers

• proper operation; closes slowly and smoothly

Set the mode selector to DOOR CLOSED and check that the operator and

electromechanical lock (if fitted) work together. Also check that the lock really secures

the door.

Activate the manual command devices, if installed. Approach the door and check it

opens correctly via the automatic command devices (3).

Check the safety sensors [3-4] by standing in the path of the opening/closing door and

activating the automation.

As it opens and closes, the door must not hit the person carrying out the check

If problems occurs contact the DITEC Customer Technical Service.
