2. Alignment Procedure

L16 Connect RF VTVM to TP4 ( le d of R112).

Adjust L16 for the m ximum indic tion on

oscilloscope.

Adjust L17 to obt in 5.5V re ding nd

confirm beyound 2V in Low B nd, ch nnel 1.

3S me s Step 1 L18 Connect RF VTVM to TP3 (le d of R81).

Adjust L18 for the m ximum re ding.

4S me s Step 1 L20 Connect Frequency counter to TP3 (le d of

R81). Adjust L20 to obt in 16.7100MHz

re ding.

5Mode: USB, RX. L21 Adjust L21 to obt in 16.7125MHz re ding.

6Mode: LSB, RX. L22 Adjust L22 to obt in 16.7075MHz re ding.

7Mode: LSB, TX. VR6 Adjust VR6 to obt in 16.7075MHz re ding.

8Mode: LSB, RX. L25 Connect Frequency counter to TP5 (le d of

R53). Adjust L25 to obt in 10.6975MHz

re ding.

9Mode: USB, RX. L24 Adjust L24 to obt in 10.6925MHz re ding.

10 Mode: AM, TX. L23 Connect Frequency counter to TP9(le d of

R84). Adjust L23 to obt in 10.6950MHz

VR10 Connect DC Ammeter to TP8(+), TP7(-).

Disconnect the PC-834AA. Adjust VR10 to

obt in the current pprox.8mA.

2S me s Step 1 VR9 Connect DC Ammeter to TP8(+), TP6(-).

Adjust VR9 to obt in the current pprox.

100mA.

L43 nd L44 Disconnect the DC Ammeter. Connect PC-834.

Connect Powermeter, RF VTVM & Oscilloscope.

Set VR7 CW M x. Adjust the pe k indic 

tion of coils to 19CH.

Connect the AF VTVM nd 8 ohm dummy lo d to EXT SP J ck during the

lignment of receiver portion.

output power. While then, keep output

under 500mW by djusting RF SG.

power.

LI nd L2 Connect oscilloscope to TPl. Set RF SSG to

18ch with no modul tion. (SG ATT.: 20dB)

Adjust LI nd L2 to obt in the m ximum DC

volt ge.

6Ch nnel : 19

Mode: AM

SQL: MAX

VR2 Set SSG 19ch, lKHz, 30% Mod. Adjust

VR2 to turn o ff the squelch circu it when

SSG output comes up to lOOOuV.

7S me s bove VR1 Set the SSG to lOOuV output with

no-modul tion. Adjust VR1 to obt in "S-9"

on tr nsceiv er's meter.
