Agilent Technologies E5900B Emulation

Pro e—At a Glance

Thi manual de cribe how to et up everal emulation product : an emulation

probe, an emulation module, an emulation migration, and an emulation

olution.

The emulation probe can be controlled by a debugger on a ho t computer or

by the Emulation Control Interface on an Agilent 16700- erie logic analy i

y tem.

E5900B Emulation Probe

The emulation probe communicate with a ho t computer or logic analy i

y tem via LAN.

After the User’s Guide for your emulator was written, new versions of the

emulation probe, emulation module, emulation migration, and emulation solution

have been released. Use this manual along with the processor-specific

E5901B Emulation Module

The Agilent E5901B emulation module plug into your Agilent 16700- erie

logic analy i y tem frame. It provide power, cro triggering, and limited

communication for the E5900B emulation probe through the module/probe

interconnect cable. The logic analy i y tem communicate with the target

y tem through the LAN connection to the E5900B emulation probe.

E5902B Emulation Migration

The emulation migration include the part needed to u e an emulation probe

for a new proce or family.

E9xxxB Emulation Solution

The emulation olution now include an E5900B emulation probe and an

E5901B emulation module. Thi manual uper ede the information about the

emulation module in the Solution User’s Guide. You may di regard the

proce or- pecific Emulation User’s Guide.

The E5901B emulation module must be used with an E5900B emulation probe.

This is a major change from the E5901A (16610A) emulation module, which could

be connected directly to a target system through a target interface module

(TIM).
