1. Safety
• This product is intended for home use.
• Read and follow the user advice in these instructions. Bear in mind the restrictions
and risks that accompany this device. Read the cautionary texts and symbols on
this device.
• This product may not be used in the following circumstances:
– Confirmed or suspected heart defects.
– Some persons may experience skin irritation or hypersensitivity from electric
stimulation or from the use of gels.
– If a rash appears or pain persists, suspend treatment and consult a doctor.
• Placement of electrodes and settings should be based on advice from a doctor
or a person who is used to administering treatment involving similar devices.
• Local skin irritation may occur from prolonged use of electrodes in the same position.
• Make sure the electrodes have good contact with the skin.
• If the stimulation level is uncomfortable and too high for you the impulses must
be reduced to a more agreeable level. Suspend treatment and consult a doctor
if you are unsure.
• This product should not be used by persons regularly out in traffic or persons
who monitor machines and processes.
• Do not use this product on premises where aerosols or oxygen are stored or used.
• Do not use this product in the vicinity of explosive, highly flammable substances or gases.
• Do not use this product at the same time with other products that send electric
impulses into the body.
• Do not connect electrodes to any other device or connect any other device,
i.e., earphones and the like, to the TENS/EMS device.
• Do not use sharp objects to press buttons.
• Make sure that electrodes and cables are undamaged before using.
• The TENS/EMS device may only be used in conjunction with
the accompanying accessories.
• Treatment may not be applied above the neck, i.e., to the face, on the throat,
or anywhere on the head.
