PROGRAMMINGGUIDE

Model:OE3B4

The transmitters included with the security system have been pre-programmed

at the factory, with each button pre-assigned to control a specific function of the

security system. Although the security system in the vehicle has either a 3 or 4

channel receiver, depending on the model, the transmitters included with the

system are capable of transmitting 7 distinct signals. This allows you to program

each transmitter to more than one vehicle in two car families, and also allows you

to change which button(s) control certain functions of the system.

(Example: Transmitter channel 5 can be programmed to activate Receiver

channel 2.) Refer to the chart below for access to each of the transmitter channels,

and for the standard factory button assignments.

Some of the more common accessories for these additional channels are;

PROGRAMMINGTHE TRANSMITTERS: Itisimportant torememberthat duringprogram-

ming, each individual step of the procedure must be executed within 15 seconds of the

previous step. When the 15 second time limit is allowed to expire, the system will

automatically terminate the programming mode. This is indicated by a long chirp from the

siren and or vehicle's horn.NOTE: Some keyless entry systems will flash the interior light

to indicate a stored code. Substitute the words light flash below where indicated sounding

device will beep.

Additionally, the system will store codes from up to four different transmitters. If a 5th

transmitter is programmed to any receiver channel, then the first transmitter programmed

to that channel will be erased from the system's memory.

NOTE: Some Systems may include a Push-Button LED Switch instead of an individual

separate LED and Push-Button Switch

To Program replacement or additional transmitters:

1. Enter the vehicle, and turn the ignition key to the "on" position.

2.Press and release the valet push-button switch 3 times.

3.ThedashLED will flash one time, and thesounding device will beep one time, indicating

the system is ready to accept programming for receiver's Lock channel 1.

4.Press and hold the Lock transmitter button until the sounding device emits a long beep,

indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

5.If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step

4 for each transmitter.

Note: Single button programming units will operate your unit in the default factory mode

once the first button is programmed. If your unit is a single button programming unit

youcan exittheprogrammodeafter step5. Consult yourinstallation centerfor advise

on your system's transmitter programming method.

6.Press and release the valet push-button switch once.

7.ThedashLEDwillflashtwotimes,andthesoundingdevicewillbeeptwotimes,indicating

the system is ready to accept programming for receiver's Unlock channel 2.

8.PressandholdtheUnlocktransmitterbuttonuntilthesoundingdeviceemitsalongbeep,

indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

9.If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step

8 for each transmitter.

10. Press and release the valet push-button switch once.

11. The dash LED will flash three times, and the sounding device will beep three times,

indicating the system is ready to accept programming for receiver's channel 3.

12. Press and hold the selected Option/Trunk/Key transmitter button until the sounding

device emits a long beep, indicating the signal has been stored into memory.

13. Ifyouhave additional transmitters ( up to 4 ) thatneedto be programmed, repeat step

12 for each transmitter.

14. Press and release the valet push-button switch once.

15. The dash LED will flash four times, and the sounding device will beep four times,

indicating the system is ready to accept programming for receiver's channel 4.

16. Press and hold any button combination as shown on the front cover of this guide until

the sounding device emits a long beep, indicating the signal has been stored into

memory.

17. If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step

16 for each transmitter.

18. Press and release the valet push-button switch once.

19. The dash LED will flash four times, and the sounding device will beep four times,

indicating the system is ready to accept programming for receiver's channel 5.

20. Press and hold any unused button combination as shown on the front cover of this

guideuntilthesoundingdeviceemitsalongbeep,indicatingthesignalhasbeenstored

into memory.

21. If you have additional transmitters (up to 4) that need to be programmed, repeat step

20 for each transmitter.

NOTE: If the program switch is operated again, the circuit will recycle through the

program mode. In other words, press 1 time to access the lock function, 2 times to

access the unlock function, 3 times to access the start function. When programming

is complete simply turn off the ignition switch to exit the program mode.

22. Turnthe ignitionkey off.The soundingdevice willemit one shortbeep followedby one

long beep indicating the system has terminated the program mode.

TRANSMITTERBATTERYREPLACEMENT

You will notice a decrease in transmitter range as the battery condition deteriorates.

Transmitter battery replacement is recommended at least every 10 to 12 months,

depending upon how frequently the transmitter is used.

ThetransmitterhasasmallLEDvisiblethroughthecase.ThisLEDcanbeusedtoindicate

batterycondition. Ifthe LED doesnot illuminate,then the batteryis discharged,and must

bereplaced.

To replace the transmitter battery,

1. Remove the small phillips head screws from the

bottom cover of the transmitter.

2. Carefully unsnapthe topcover ofthe transmitterfrom

the bottom cover.

3. Remove the discharged battery, making note of the location of the + and - contacts,

and replace with a new type GP 27A 12 volt battery.

4. Replace the transmitter cover, taking care not to damage the LED or switches on the

circuit board, and secure with the small phillips head screw.
