Important

◗Only use Philips s-bag™ double-layer paper dustbags.

◗Never suck up water or any other liquid. Never suck up ashes until they are cold.

◗When the vacuum cleaner is used to suck up fine dust, the pores of the dustbag may become

clogged, causing the passage of air through the dustbag to become obstructed.As a result, the

'dustbag full' indicator will indicate that the dustbag needs to be replaced, even though the

dustbag is not full at all.

◗Never use the appliance without the Motor Protection Filter.This could damage the motor

and shorten the life of the appliance.

◗If the mains cord of this appliance is damaged, it may only be replaced by Philips or a service

centre authorised by Philips, as repair requires special tools and/or parts.

Connecting accessories

1To connect the hose, push it into the appliance and turn it clockwise (fig.1).

To disconnect the hose, turn it anticlockwise and pull it out of the appliance.

2Connect the tubes to each other and to the handgrip by inserting the narrow section into

the wider section while turning it a little.The tube with the clip is the lower tube (fig. 2).

You can connect the accessories in the same way.

Disconnect the accessories and tubes by pulling them and turning them a little.

3Telescopic tube (specific types only) (fig.3):

Adjust the tube to the length you find most comfortable during vacuum cleaning.

4The combi nozzle can be used on either carpets (without brush) or hard floors (with brush):

◗Push the rocker switch on top of the combi nozzle with your foot to make the brush strip

for cleaning hard floors come out of the nozzle housing (fig. 4). Push the rocker switch on the

other side to make the brush strip disappear into the housing (fig.5).

5The crevice nozzle can be found in the special storage compartment (fig. 6).

6To carry the appliance, put the handle in upright position (fig. 7).

7You can adjust the suction power by means of the slide on the handgrip (specific types only)

(fig. 8).

8You can adjust the suction power by means of the electronic suction power control (specific

types only) (fig. 9).

Storage

1Put the appliance in upright position and attach the lower tube to the appliance by means of

the clip (fig. 10).

The clip can be slide along the tube to adjust its height.

Replacing the dustbag

◗Replace the dustbag as soon as the 'dustbag full' indicator has changed colour permanently.

1Switch the appliance off and open the cover (fig. 11).

2Push the dustbag holder backwards (fig. 12).

3Lift the dustbag out of the compartment by pulling the cardboard lug upwards, which causes

the dustbag to be sealed (fig. 13).

4Slide the cardboard front of the new dustbag into the two grooves of the dustbag holder.

Press it down as far as possible (fig. 14).

5Pull the dustbag holder forwards ('Click').You cannot close the cover if no dustbag has been

inserted (fig.15).

Philips s-bag™ paper dustbags are available under type number FC8021 (883802101010).

Filter replacement

AFS Micro Filter

Replace the AFS Micro Filter every 6 months.

The AFS Micro Filter will remove a large part of the smallest particles from the exhaust air.

1Open the grill and remove the filter (fig. 16).

2Place the sides (1, 2) and the bottom edge (3) of the new filter properly behind the ridges of

the holder (fig. 17).

3Put the holder back into the vacuum cleaner by first hooking the bottom edge of the holder

into the appliance (1) and then pushing the holder towards the appliance (2) until it snaps

home (fig. 18).

Make sure the filter holder has been placed properly.

Motor Protection Filter

Replace the Motor Protection Filter once a year.

1Switch the appliance off and open the cover.Take out the filter holder and remove the filter

(fig.19).

2Insert a new filter into the holder with the white side facing upwards and place the holder

back.

Two AFS Micro Filters and one Motor Protection Filter are available under type number FC8032

(883803201010).

Environment

To make recycling possible, the plastics used for this appliance have been coded.

The cardboard packaging has been made of recycled material and is fully recyclable.

Insufficient suction power

1Check if the dustbag needs to be replaced.

2Check if the filters need to be replaced.

3Check if the slide on the handgrip is closed.

4Check if the electronic suction power control is at its maximum setting (specific types only).

5Check if the nozzle, tube or hose is blocked up.To remove the obstruction, disconnect the

blocked-up item and connect it (as far as possible) the other way around. Switch the vacuum

cleaner on to force the air through the blocked-up item in opposite direction (fig. 20).

s-bag™.

◗Saugen Sie mit diesem Gerät niemals Flüssigkeiten auf.Wenn Sie Asche aufsaugen, so

vergewissern Sie sich, daß sie völlig ausgekühlt ist.

◗Wenn Sie feinen Staub aufsaugen, können die Poren des Staubbeutels verstopft werden.

Dadurch wird der Luftdurchgang behindert. Der Staubbeutel muss ausgewechselt werden,

sobald die Anzeige "Staubbeutel voll" die Farbe dauerhaft gewechselt hat, auch wenn er noch

nicht voll ist.

◗Verwenden Sie das Gerät niemals ohne den Motorschutz-Filter. Das könnte den Motor

beschädigen und die Nutzungsdauer des Geräts herabsetzen.

◗Wenn das Netzkabel defekt oder beschädigt ist, muss es von einer durch Philips autorisierten

Werkstatt oder von einem Philips Service Center ersetzt werden, da für die Reparatur

spezielles Werkzeug und/oder Ersatzteile benötigt werden.

Vor dem Gebrauch

1Den Saugschlauch einsetzen: Stecken Sie das Schlauchende in das Gerät, und drehen Sie es im

Uhrzeigersinn fest (Abb. 1).

Den Saugschlauch abnehmen: Drehen Sie den Saugschlauch entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn, und

ziehen Sie ihn aus dem Gerät.

2Die Saugrohre miteinander und mit dem Griff im Saugschlauch verbinden: Stecken Sie jeweils

mit einer leichten Drehung das engere Ende in das weitere Ende. Das Saugrohr mit dem

Haken ist das untere Saugrohr (Abb. 2).

Auch die Zusatzteile sind auf diese Weise anzubringen.

Nehmen Sie die Zusatzteile ab, in dem Sie sie unter leichtem Drehen abziehen.

3(Nur bestimmte Gerätetypen:) Das Teleskoprohr (Abb. 3)

Stellen Sie das Rohr auf die Länge ein, bei der Sie am bequemsten staubsaugen können.

4Die Kombidüse lässt sich sowohl auf Textilböden mit eingezogener Bürstenleiste und auf

Hartböden mit ausgefahrener Bürstenleiste verwenden.

◗Zum Staubsaugen auf Hartböden drücken Sie mit dem Fuß den Schalter auf der

Universaldüse. Dadurch wird die Bürstenleiste ausgefahren (Abb. 4). Um die Bürstenleiste

wieder einzufahren, drücken Sie mit dem Fuß die andere Seite desselben Schalters (Abb. 5).

5Die Fugendüse finden Sie im Zubehörfach (Abb. 6).

6Das Gerät lässt sich bequem tragen, wenn Sie den Griff hochziehen und das Gerät anheben

(Abb. 7).

7(Nur bestimmte Gerätetypen:) Die Saugleistung lässt sich am mechanischen

Saugleistungsregler im Griff verstellen (Abb. 8).

8(Nur bestimmte Gerätetypen:) Die Saugleistung lässt sich mit dem elektronischen

Saugleistungsregler einstellen (Abb. 9).

Aufbewahrung

1Stellen Sie das Gerät aufrecht und setzen Sie den Haken am unteren Saugrohr in das Gerät

ein (Abb.10).

Der Rohrhaken lässt sich entlang des Rohres verschieben, um seine Position zu ändern.

Den Staubbeutel auswechseln

◗Wechseln Sie den Staubbeutel gegen einen neuen aus, sobald die Anzeige "Staubbeutel voll"

dauerhaft eine andere Farbe anzeigt.

1Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, und öffnen Sie den Gerätedeckel (Abb. 11).

2Schieben Sie den Staubbeutelhalter zurück (Abb. 12).

3Ziehen Sie den Staubbeutel an der Frontplatte aus dem Staubbeutelfach hoch. Dabei wird der

Staubbeutel automatisch verschlossen (Abb. 13).

4Schieben Sie die Frontplatte des neuen Staubbeutels in die beiden Führungsrillen des

Staubbeutelhalters bis zum Anschlag hinein (Abb. 14).

5Ziehen Sie den Staubbeutelhalter bis zum Anschlag nach vorn ("Klick").Wenn sich kein

Staubbeutel im Gerät befindet, lässt sich der Gerätedeckel nicht schließen.

Philips s-bag™ Staubbeutel aus Papier sind unter der Type FC8021 (Service-Nr.883802101010)

erhältlich.

Den Filter auswechseln

AFS Micro-Filter

Tauschen Sie den AFS Micro-Filter alle 6 Monate aus.

Der AFS Micro-Filter entfernt einen großen Teil feinster Partikel aus der Abluft.

1Öffnen Sie den Filterhalter, und entfernen Sie den Filter (Abb. 16).

2Setzen Sie die Seiten (1 und 2) und den unteren Rand (3) des neuen Filters genau hinter die

Noppen am Filterhalter (Abb. 17).

3Setzen Sie den Filter halter so in das Gerät zurück, dass Sie zuerst die untere Kante einhaken

(1) und dann den Filterhalter hochklappen (2), bis er einrastet (Abb. 18).

Prüfen Sie dabei, dass der Filterhalter korrekt sitzt.

Den Motorschutz-Filter auswechseln

Wechseln Sie den Motorschutz-Filter jährlich.

1Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, und öffnen Sie den Gerätedeckel. Nehmen Sie den Filterhalter

heraus und entfernen Sie den Filter (Abb. 19).

2Setzen Sie einen neuen Filter in den Filterhalter ein, so dass die weiße Seite nach oben zeigt.

Setzen Sie den Filterhalter mit dem neuen Filter wieder in das Gerät zurück.

Eine Packung mit zwei ASF Micro-Filtern und einem Motorschutz-Filter ist unter der Type FC 8032

(Service-Nr. 883803201010) erhältlich.

Umweltschutz

Die Kunststoffteile dieses Geräts sind gekennzeichnet, um eine Wiederverwertung zu ermöglichen.

Die Verpackung besteht aus Altmaterial und ist voll wiederverwertbar.

Bei ungenügender Saugleistung prüfen Sie, ...

1ob der Staubbeutel ausgewechselt werden muß.

2ob die Filter gewechselt werden müssen.

3ob der Schieberegler im Griff geschlossen ist.

4(Nur bestimmte Gerätetypen:) ob der Schiebeschalter auf der maximalen Position steht.

5ob die Düse, der Saugschlauch oder die Saugrohre verstopft sind. DieVerstopfung können Sie

beseitigen, indem Sie - soweit möglich - dasTeil verkehrt herum anschließen. Blasen Sie dann

in der Gegenrichtung Luft hindurch (Abb. 20).
