INSTALLATION INSTALLATION
First shut off your waterheating system then,with your mains stop cock closed,open the
lowest hot andcold taps inthe house and allow to run until the coldstorage tank andpipes
are empty (thehot water storagecylinder always remains full). Where combination boilers
are fitted itis only necessaryto turn off the boiler and shut off the incomingmains.
Fitting isolating valvesto the inletfeeds is recommended for ease of maintenance.

Remove the fixingnuts, plastic andrubber washers from the tap tails.
Insert the tailsinto the holeson the bath top making sure that the Oring and mixerbase ring
are correctly positioned.
From beneath slideon the rubberwasher, plastic washer followed by the nut.
Secure the tapfinger tight withthe nuts, check that the tap is correctly positionedto the rear
and tighten fixingnut. The tap needs tobe fixed firmlybut do notover tighten as damage
may be causedto the bathtub.
Connect the watersupply to thetap with hot water on the left and coldon the right.
(When viewed formthe front).
Once you havesatisfied yourself thatthere are no leaks, switch on the water heating.

pipe work.
ATTENTION
Having first checkedall new connections,turn on themains stop cock, close all taps except
the new mixerand as thesystem starts torefill check for leaks.

CLEANING THE CARTRIDGE
The concealed cartridgeshould give trouble
free service, butin the eventof any problems,
servicing is straightforward.
Toremove the cartridge.
Pull offthe cover capand with anhexagonal key
loosen the screw, but donot remove it.Pull offthe
handle. Using thecorrect size spannerunscrew
and remove thecartridge. Washthe cartridge with
clean running waterand make surethat any
trapped debris hasbeen removed. Dryand lightly
grease the seal(only use siliconegrease) and
replace the cartridgefollowed by thehandle.
CLEANING
The chrome andgold plate weuse on ourtaps is verydurable, nevertheless careshould be
taken when cleaningthem. Theyshould be cleanedonly with warmsoapy water followedby
rinsing with cleanwater and dryingwith a softcloth. Allfinishes are vulnerableto acid attack
and some strongsubstances such ashousehold cleaners, disinfectants,denture cleaners,
hair dyes, winemaking and photographicchemicals can causethe surface togo black orpeel.
