TRANSCEIVER/ PAGER-REMOTE

PAGER / REMOTETRANSCEIVER:

Thehand-heldremote transceiver isused to sendand

receive informationfromthevehicle. TheControlModule

transmits HighFrequencyFM signals from the vehicle to your

over longdistances. Yourrange willvary dependingon

location,terrain, andlocalRF noise/interference. This

system isnot guaranteedto page you ifyouare behind

concrete walls,underground,inalarge structure, or inan

area withhighlevelsof electronicinterference.Handlethe

pager/remote withcare iftheLCD display and/or the

electronics may be damaged ifsubjected to abuse.TheAAA

Cell1.5V alkalinebattery caneasilybe replaced by sliding

open thebattery access door onthe back of theremote.

Battery life willvarydependingonusage.TheLCD screen

Active Arming/ Locking:

Press button#1(Locksymbol)onthetransceiver.The Systemwill armemitone siren

chirp,one lightflash,and theLEDwill begintoflash.Powerlockswilllock(if

equipped).Starterdisablecircuitwill turn on.LCD Pager will beep oncewhile

displaying aDownArrowandaLocksymbolfollowedbytheCSP logo.After ashort

delaytoallowthevehicleand electronics tosettle, the systemwill becompletelyarmed.

Disarming:/ Unlocking

Press button#2(Unlocksymbol)onthe transceiver.Systemwill disarmand confirm

withtwosirenchirps,twolight flashes,andtheLEDwill turn off.Power lockswill Unlock

andInterior Domelightwill turnon(if installedwiththeseoptionalfeatures).LCD Pager

will beep twicewhiledisplaying an UpArrowand anUnlocksymbolfollowedbythe CSP

logo.

Alarm Triggers:

Ifthereisanintrusionintothevehicle,ahard impacttothebody,ortheignition isturnedonthe alarmwill

soundand flashthe lightsfor1minute.After 1minute,thetrigger cyclewill automaticallystop and alarmwill

remainarmed tocontinue protectingthevehicle.If adoor isleft openafter anintrusionthentheunitwillcycle

amaximumof2minutesandcontinuetoprotect the otherun-tampered orunopened zones.

LCD Remote Paging/ ZoneViolations:

When the systemistriggered,thealarm sendsapagingsignaltothe remote.If youarewithinrange,youwill

receiveaviolationpaging signalwhichconsistsof avibrationfollowed by6audiblebeepstonotifyyouthe

vehiclehasbeentamperedwith.

DisarmingtheSystemwhileitistriggeringrequiresTWOpressesofthe#2UnlockButton.Thefirstpressof

Button#2Resetsthealarmcycleonly(systemstill armed) whileasecond presswilldisarm/unlockthesystem.

Selective SilentArming/Disarming:

ToArmor Disarmthesystemwithoutsiren

chirps,press andreleasebothButtons#2

(Unlock)and #4 (Start)atthesametime.

Systemwill ArmorDisarmwithoutsirenchirps.

signsofabreakinortampering.Alsosee LEDDiagnosticsSection todetermine the causeof the trigger.

RemotePanicProtection

Tosoundthealarminanemergencysituationortodrawattentiontoyourvehicle,press

and holdButton #1 (Lock)foratleast3secondsuntil thesiren sounds.PressButton#2

(Unlock)toresetpanicmode.TheLCD pager/remotewill displaya“P”and emit8

beepswhenthepanicmodeistriggered.

Selective Shock SensorDisable

Toarmthe alarmand bypassshocksensorprotection,press Button#1asnormalthen

pressandreleaseButton #1and #2togetherwithin2seconds.Youwill hear 3extra

sirenchirpsindicatingshocksensor bypass for thisarmingcycleonly.Thisfeature can be usedwhen parking

nearrailroadtracks,airports,or areawithexcessiveloudmachineryornoisetopreventthenuisanceof

unnecessaryfalsealarms.

OpenDoorAlert/ Bypass

Upon arming,thissystemwill warn youifadoorisleft open.TheLCD pager will vibrateand beep(15X’s)

alongwithdisplayingtheopen zoneon your LCD screen.Thiszone will automaticallybe bypasseduntil

closed, otherwisethealarmwill continuetoprotect allotherzones.

PRE-WARN

PASSIVE LOCK/ARM

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS-ALARM

Pre-WarningShock Protection

The Pre-warning(warn-away)featurewill activatewhenalow-levelshockorvibration

detectedbythe system’sshocksensor.The alarmwill chirp the siren 5timesand

flashthe lightsoncetohelpdeteranyfurther tamperingwiththe vehicle.The

pager/remotewill vibrateonceandbeep(6X’s).

Passive ArmingMode:(Programmable)

Passive(automatic)arming occurs30secondsaftertheignitionisturned offandthe

lastdoor isclosed.Upon closingthe lastdoor,theunitwill flashthelightstwiceand LEDwill be flashing

rapidlytoconfirmpassivecountdown.Ifadoor isreopened withinthe30 second period,the countdownstop

and beginagainwhenthedoorisclosed.Passivearming providesfailsafeprotection incaseyouforgetto

armthesystem.

Passive Locking:(Programmable)

The CS-2016DP-FMsystemcan be programmed topassivelylockthe doorswhen

the systempassivelyarms.The defaultsetting isOFFbecausepassivelocking

increasesthe riskoflocking the keysinthe vehicle.When the systemarms/locks

passively,withoutyoupressingtheremote,the LCD pagerwill still provide a

confirmationsignal.TheLCD screenwill haveanarrowonlywithoutalocksymbol.

Trunk/HatchPop(Optional, Remote AUX.Output1)

Thisfeatureisdesigned tointerfacewithexistingFactorypower trunkor power

hatchreleasesystemsandmayrequire additionalpartsand/orlabor charges.

Press andreleaseButton#3(Trunk)onthetransmitter topop/open thetrunk/hatch.

Ifthe systemisarmed,itwill alsodisarm whenthebutton#3 ispressed.TheLCD

pager/remotewill confirmwith3beepsandthetrunkicononthe screen.

RemoteAUX.Output2(Optional, Requires specialprogramming)

Thissystemcontainsasecond auxiliaryoutputtoactivateother accessoriesordevices.Toactivatethe

systems’SecondAuxiliaryOutput, press and HOLDButton#3+#2onthe transmitter for more than2

seconds. Thisisamomentaryoutput thatwillstayactiveaslongastheremotebuttonishelddown.Thereis

no LCD/pager confirmation for Aux.2output. DomeLight Illumination(Optional)

Thisfeaturewill turnonthe vehicle’sdomelightupondisarmingfor30secondsoruntil the keyisinsertedand

turnedon. Thiswill provide illuminated entrytoyour vehicleindimlylitareasforsafetyandsecurity.

EmergencyOverride(Disarm)

Ifyou havelostthetransmitter or itstopsworking for anyreason andtheAlarmisarmed,youwill haveto

disarmthe systemmanually.Open thedoorwiththekey[alarmwill sound], turn the ignitionon,and press the

override/programbutton for about5seconds.TheAlarmwill disarmand allowyoutousethe vehicleuntil you

can repair/replacethe remote. ValetmodealsopreventsPassiveArming.

ValetMode(Entermanuallyorusing theremote)

TodisableAlarmand RemoteEngine Starting for vehicleservicing or otherwise,turntheignitiononand press

the override/programbutton [about5-7seconds]until youhear (3) sirenchirpsand the LEDturnsonsolid.

Repeattheprocess toexitVALETmode.Toenter/exitvaletviatheremote,pressandholdbothbuttons#1

(Lock)and Button#2(unlock)together for about3secondsuntil 3chirpsare heard.Repeatthisstep toexit

viatheremotetransmitter.Lock/Unlock and AUXfeatureswill still operateinwheninVALETmodehowever

remotestartandalarmfunctionsareinhibited.

ValetParkMode(Using theremotetransmitteronly)

Note:ValetParkmode isonlyaccessiblewhen usingtheremotetransmitter.Valetparkmode allowsyouto

turnoverthevehicletoavaletallowingaccesstodrive/lock/unlockyourvehicle,butalarmwill triggerifthe

trunkisopened.ToactivateValetPark,press andholdbothbuttons#1(Lock)andButton#2(unlock)

together for about6seconds.3chirpswill be heard firstwhen unitgoesintoregular Valetand asyou

continuetoholdbothbuttonsyouwill hear2morechirps.LEDwill alwaysflashslowlywheninValetPark

evenwhen theIgnitionisturnedon(or drivingvehicle).Repeat step abovetoexit Valet Parkmode.

Optional M.A.P.(MobileAccessoriesProtection)

Thissystem canbe programmed to provide Crimestopper’s uniqueM.A.P. (MobileAccessories Protection)featurethat

allows youto prevent unauthorized access of yourvehicles Audio, Cellular, Navigation,or Entertainmentsystems.

ThisfeatureisOPTIONAL and requires extrapartsandlabor forinstallation.Consultyourinstallationdealer about

MAP before or duringinstallation.TheCS2016FM must be programmed for MAP operation.Whenthesystem isput

into Valet Park mode, M.A.P. will prevent stereo, entertainment, navigation, or cellular system from being used.

Inthe eventthatthe enginedoesnotstartonthe firstattempt, thesystemshutsdownforafewseconds,then

attemptstorestarttheenginea2nd and3rd time.For hard starting engines,the unitwill allowastarter crank

timeofup to13secondsmaximum.Thisshouldprovide amplecranking timefor difficultstarts,butislimited to

13 secondstohelppreventdamagetothe starterfromover cranking.

1)Ifenginestartson2nd or 3rd attempt, seesteps4&5(onlastpage) under"SuccessfulStart".

2)IfThirdattemptfailstostartengine,thesystemwill turnoff and doorswill remainlocked.NOFURTHER

ATTEMPTSWILL BE MADEAUTOMATICALLYUNLESS YOUPRESS THEREMOTESTARTBUTTON

AGAIN.

TURNING OFFYOUR REMOTESTARTEDENGINE(VIAREMOTECONTROL):

1)EngineisrunninginRemoteStart(Parking lightsON).

2)Press RemoteStartbutton onremotetransmitter.

ENTERINGYOUR REMOTESTARTEDVEHICLE:

1)Withengine running, RemoteUnlock/Disarmsystem(If armed)oropendoorwithkey.

2)Entervehicleandbecarefulnottostep on brakepedal!(RemoteStart Reset)

3)Turn Ignition toON/RUNposition, thenpressbrakepedaltoresettheRemoteStarter &Shift outofpark.

4)Remotestarter will resetinstantlywhenthe brakeispressed.Parking lightswill turn off and theignition key

isnowcontrollingyour vehicle.
