COMPONENTMOUNTING

ControlModule:DONOTmountwiring harness orcontrolmodulewheretheycan becomeentangled with

moving partssuchasbrake/gas/clutchpedals,orthe steering column!The controlmoduleshouldbe mounted in

aconcealed location.Donotmountthe controlunitinthe engine compartment.

LED:Mountinavisiblelocation on the dashboardorconsole.The LEDisyourvisualdeterrenttoawould-be

intruderorthief, plusitisrequired when programming certainoptionsofthe system.

Valet/ProgramButton:Mountbutton inahidden butaccessiblelocation.It isREQUIREDforemergency

disarm,programming,and valetmode.

Thesewirescomedirectlyfromthe terminalsofan on-boardRelaytoimmobilizethe Coil orFuelPumpCircuitin

the vehicle.Selected the circuityou wanttointerrupt, cutit, and connecteachcutend toaVIOLETwire.

NOTE(1): Thisisahigh-security,normallyopenconnection.Ifthealarm systemisunpluggedorloses

power,thecircuitwill still beimmobilized!

NOTE(2): Thiscircuithas amaximumloadof10Aand shouldNOTbeusedtointerruptahigh current

wiresuchas anIgnition supplyorStartercircuitfromtheignition switch!

WHITE/RED:(-) NEGATIVE HORN/SIRENOUTPUT

Connecttowirethatactivatesthe factoryhorn.If you choosetousethisoutputwithastandardalarm (warble)

siren,then itshouldbe connected tothe black (negative)wireofthe siren.Connectthe red wireofthe siren to

constant(+)12 Volts.NOTE:Thiswireispresetforafactoryvehiclehorn.You mustchange the programming for

siren use.See option #15.

NOTE:ManyEuropeanvehicles requireseparaterightand left circuits.Use thissecond whitewireto

connecttothe2nd lightcircuiton yourEuropeanvehicle,otherwise do notuse bothwhitewires.

Connectthiswiretothe positiveside oftrunkreleasesolenoid.Thisinputwirewill allowthe CS-882OEMsystem

tosensewhen the TrunkReleaseButton ispressed on the FactoryRemoteControl.Thiswill preventan

unwanted falsealarm ifyourvehiclehasapowered trunk/hatchrelease.Atthe instantapositivepulseissensed

on thiswire,the trunktriggerand shock sensorinputsarebypassed sothe 882 will nottrigger.If the trunkisthen

closed (sensed bytrunkpin)itwill re-arm in3seconds,otherwiseremaining partsofthe 882 systemareSTILL

ARMEDEVENTHOUGHTHETRUNKISOPENand mustbe disarmed byUnlocking withthe remotebefore

entering the vehicle.

doorsorgo directlytothe wireatthe vehicle’sdomelight.

•Positivetype doorcircuitsshow12 Voltswhen adoorisopened suchason manyFord/Mercuryvehicles.

*TIP:Manyrecentvehicles have doorpinswitches incorporatedinthedoorlatchmechanismitself,

thereforetherearenotany“plunger”typedoorswitches locatedinthedoorjamb.Ifyourvehiclehas

no doorpins,analternative connection may beataninteriorlightorlocating thedoortriggersata

controlmoduleelsewhereinthevehicle.Call TechSupportforassistance.

Connectthiswiretoagrounding hood /trunkpinswitchortoexisting factoryhood and trunkpinswitchesthat

read ground when open.If no existing switchesareavailable,newpinswitchesmaybe installed.Note:DONOT

mountnewpinswitchesinwaterpathways.

RED/WHITE:(+/-) DoorUnlock Validation SignalINPUT:[DefaultSetting isNegative]

ConnecttoVehicle’sDoorUnlock Switchwire.NOTE:The modulemustbe programmed forthe correctsignal

polarity.(Flipping switchon top ofcontrolmodulewill change the inputpolarity.)Thiswirepreventssystemfrom

being defeated simplybypressing the vehicle’sunlock button atthe doorpanelwhen triggered.

underthe dash.Usethe adjustmentscrewforsensitivity.Werecommend

the shock sensorbe adjusted todetectamediumlevelimpacttothe vehicle,

butnotsosensitivethatitcreatesanuisanceofdisturbing falsealarms.

polarity(+/-) ofthe Green/Whiteand Red/Whitewirescan be changed byusing the slide switchon the top ofthe

Connecting the Green/Whiteand Red/White“Validation”wirestothe factorydoorlock switchpreventsan intruder

orthieffromarming ordisarming the systembypressing the lock/unlock button on the vehicledoorpanel.

MODEBisused forvehicleswithsinglewirelocking systemsthatareoften called “DataBus”or“Multi-Plex”

vehicles.Thesevehiclesinclude manylatemodelDodge/ChryslerVehicles,2003 GMTruck,SUV’s,and 1996-

2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee,and others.

Thismode mustbe programmed using option #16 inthe ProgramOption Section.The Green/Whiteand

Red/WhitewiresareNOTused inthismode.Instead,the system“learns”the vehicle’sunlock and lock timing.

Thismode ONLYrequiresconnection ofthe Yellow/Black and Blue/Black forarm/disarm sensing.The system

will notArm orDisarm when pressing the factorylock switches.See steps&diagrambelowforMode “B”.

and alternatesettings.The siren will chirponceortwiceconfirming thatthe DefaultorAlternateOption was

onceyourhavemade the selection.

8.PASSIVE ARMING

Thisoption controlsthe Passive(Automatic)Arming feature.When enabled,automaticarming will occur30

Secondsafterthe ignition isturned off and the lastdoorhasbeen closed.If adoorisreopened,the systemwill

waitforthe doortoclosebeforearming.

10.DOORTRIGGERPOLARITY

Thisoption controlsthe system’sBLUEdoortriggerinput. If you havea“Negative”type pinsthatswitchGround

when adoorisopened,then no change isrequired.If yourvehiclehas“Positive”typespinsthe switchto+12V

when adoorisopened,then you mustchange thisoption toPOSITIVE.

14.PANICMODE

Thisoption controlsthe CS-882OEMhasa“Panic”feature.When thisoption isenabled you can triggera30

Second Panicalarm ifyou press the lock button on yourkeyless entrysystem3times.
