COMPONENT MOUNTING

ControlModule: DONOTmountwiring harness orcontrolmodulewhere theycanbecomeentangled with

moving partssuchasbrake/gas/clutchpedals,orthesteering column!The controlmoduleshouldbe mountedin

aconcealedlocation. Donotmountthe controlunit intheenginecompartment.

LED: Mountinavisiblelocation on thedashboard or console.TheLEDisyour visualdeterrenttoawould-be

intruderorthief,plusit isrequiredwhenprogramming certainoptionsofthesystem.

Valet/ProgramButton: Mountbuttoninahidden butaccessiblelocation.Itis REQUIRED for emergency

disarm,programming,andvalet mode.

WIRING

(2) VIOLETWIRES:ON-BOARD RELAY(10A)IMMOBILIZERCIRCUIT#1 NORMALLYOPEN

Thesewirescomedirectlyfromtheterminalsofanon-board RelaytoimmobilizetheCoil orFuelPumpCircuit in

the vehicle. Selectedthecircuityouwant tointerrupt, cut it,and connecteachcut endtoaVIOLETwire.

NOTE(1):Thisisahigh-security,normallyopenconnection. Ifthealarm systemisunpluggedorloses

power,thecircuitwill still beimmobilized!

NOTE(2):Thiscircuithas amaximumloadof10AandshouldNOTbeusedtointerruptahigh current

wiresuchas anIgnition supplyorStartercircuitfromtheignition switch!

WHITE/RED:(-) NEGATIVE HORN/SIRENOUTPUT

Connecttowirethatactivatesthe factoryhorn.Ifyouchoosetousethisoutputwithastandardalarm(warble)

siren,thenitshouldbeconnectedtothe black(negative)wireofthesiren.Connecttheredwireofthesirento

constant(+)12 Volts.NOTE:Thiswire ispresetfor afactoryvehiclehorn.Youmustchange the programming for

sirenuse. See option #15.

BLACK WIRE:SYSTEMCHASSISGROUND

THISWIREMUSTBE CONNECTEDTOCHASSISMETALOFTHEVEHICLE.Scrape awayanypaintor dirt

fromtheareatoensure agoodconnection.

Connectto+12 Volt sourcewithsupplied fuse&holder. Connect tothevehicle’sbatteryPositiveterminal.

ConnectONEofthewhitewirestothe switched parking lightwire atback oflightswitch,the kickpanelor

fusebox.Iftheselocationsare notpossible,connect directlytoone of the parking lightsatthefrontofthevehicle.

NOTE:ManyEuropeanvehicles requireseparaterightandleftcircuits.Use thissecond white wireto

connecttothe2nd lightcircuitonyourEuropeanvehicle,otherwise donotusebothwhitewires.

hasvoltagein“ON”and “CRANKING”positionsat theIgnitionswitch. (Starter disablerelaynot included)

Thesewirescomedirectlyfromtheterminalsofanon-board relaytoimmobilizetheCoil orFuelPumpCircuitin

the vehicle. Select thecircuit youwanttoimmobilize, cut it, andconnectoneend tothe Pinkwireandtheother

endtothePink/Whitewire.

Connectthiswire tothepositivesideoftrunkreleasesolenoid.Thisinputwire will allowtheCS-883OEMsystem

tosensewhen theTrunkReleaseButtonispressedon the FactoryRemoteControl.Thiswill preventan

unwanted falsealarmifyour vehiclehasapowered trunk/hatchrelease.Attheinstantapositivepulseissensed

on thiswire,the trunktrigger and shocksensor inputsarebypassed sothe883 will nottrigger.Ifthe trunkisthen

closed(sensedbytrunkpin) itwill re-armin3seconds,otherwiseremainingpartsofthe883systemare STILL

ARMEDEVENTHOUGHTHETRUNKISOPENandmustbe disarmed byUnlocking withthe remotebefore

enteringthe vehicle.

Connecttodoor pinactivationcircuit invehicle:

•Negativetype door circuitsshowGround when anydoor isopenedand12voltswhen all doorsareclosed.

Somevehiclesmayhaveisolated doortriggers.Inthiscaseyoumayneedtorun additionalwiresfromother

doorsor go directlytothe wire atthevehicle’sdome light.

•Positivetypedoorcircuitsshow12VoltswhenadoorisopenedsuchasonmanyFord/Mercuryvehicles.

*TIP:Manyrecentvehicles have doorpinswitchesincorporatedinthedoorlatchmechanismitself,

thereforetherearenotany“plunger”typedoorswitcheslocatedinthedoorjamb.Ifyourvehiclehas

no doorpins,analternative connection maybeataninteriorlightorlocatingthedoortriggersata

control moduleelsewhereinthevehicle.Call TechSupportforassistance.

Connectthiswiretoagrounding hood/trunkpinswitchortoexisting factoryhoodand trunkpinswitchesthat

readgroundwhen open.If noexistingswitchesare available,newpinswitchesmaybeinstalled.Note: DONOT

mountnewpinswitchesinwaterpathways.

BROWN:(+/-) DoorUnlockValidationSignal INPUT:[DefaultSettingisNegative]

ConnecttoVehicle’sDoorUnlockSwitchwire. NOTE: The modulemustbeprogrammed forthecorrectsignal

polarity.(Flippingswitchontopof controlmodulewill change theinputpolarity.)Thiswire preventssystemfrom

beingdefeated simplybypressingthe vehicle’sunlockbuttonat the doorpanelwhen triggered.

*SHOCK SENSOR TIP:

The sensor supplied withthissystem does not

require anyadditionalwiring. Simplymountthesensor inasuitablelocation,

plugitin,andadjust thesensitivity. Theshock sensor performs well simply

by attachingwithcableties to alarge wire harness or to ametalstructure

underthedash.Usetheadjustmentscrew for sensitivity. Werecommend

the shock sensor be adjusted to detect amediumlevel impact to thevehicle,

butnot so sensitive that it creates a nuisance of disturbingfalse alarms.

MODE A isthedefaultmodeand isusedformostvehicles.

Thismode requires4-Wirestobe connectedfor properoperation:Yellow/Black and Blue/Black connecttothe

(+)12Vsolenoidlock&unlockwires. Green/White and Brown connecttothefactorydoorlockswitch. The

polarity(+/-)of the Green/White and Brown wirescanbe changedbyusingtheslideswitchonthe topoftheCS-

883OEMmodule. See DiagramsbelowforstandardMODE“A”installation.

MODEBisusedforvehicleswithsinglewire lockingsystemsthatare often called “DataBus”or“Multi-Plex”

vehicles.Thesevehiclesinclude manylatemodelDodge/ChryslerVehicles,2003GMTruck,SUV’s,and 1996-

2003JeepGrandCherokee,andothers.

Thismodemustbe programmed using option #16intheProgramOptionSection.The Green/White and Brown

wiresare NOTusedinthismode.Instead,thesystem“learns”the vehicle’sunlockandlocktiming.Thismode

ONLYrequiresconnection ofthe Yellow/Black and Blue/Black forarm/disarm sensing.Thesystemwill notArm

or Disarmwhenpressing thefactorylockswitches.Seesteps&diagrambelowforMode“B”.

6. SIREN/HORN CONFIRMATION

Thisoptioncontrolswhether the CS-883OEMsystempulsesthe siren/horn foranaudiblelock/unlock

confirmation.Ifyourvehiclealreadychirpsthehorn when using thekeyless entryremotes,thenyou maychoose

todisablethisoption.

8. PASSIVE ARMING

Thisoption controlsthe Passive(Automatic)Armingfeature.When enabled,automaticarming will occur30

Secondsafter theignition isturnedoff and thelastdoorhasbeen closed.Ifadoorisreopened,the systemwill

wait for the door toclosebefore arming.

10. DOORTRIGGERPOLARITY

Thisoptioncontrolsthesystem’sBLUEdoor trigger input. If you havea“Negative” typepinsthatswitchGround

when adoor isopened,then nochangeisrequired.Ifyourvehiclehas“Positive” typespinsthe switchto+12V

whenadoor isopened,then you mustchangethisoptiontoPOSITIVE.

14. PANICMODE

ThisoptioncontrolstheCS-883OEMhasa“Panic”feature.When thisoption isenabledyoucantriggera30

SecondPanicalarmif youpressthelockbuttononyourkeyless entrysystem3times.
